Tell us a little bit about what got you here – your education and your passions that brought you to be part of our team?
SAMANTHA: I’ve been in the clinical field for over 10 years now starting out as a technician part-time to get me through my undergrad. Once I got to grad school, I decided to stay in the research field as I am a data nerd. I love organizing a plethora of data sets into beautiful, understandable infographics and other presentation modes. You’d never catch me creating a report that will collect dust on the shelf (unless that’s what the client wants)! Source Nutraceutical gave me the opportunity to show what I can provide to the research field for pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, natural health products and beyond.
We know that you enjoy research; what is something else you’re passionate about that you’d like to share with our readers?
SAMANTHA: I am extremely passionate about evaluation. Understanding how a social program works and operates, the impact they are truly having on communities and helping the public know about these programs is imperative to their longevity.
Quick, share with us something you find interesting about clinical trial regulations that readers may not know about.
SAMANTHA: Do not ever underestimate the power of precision. Even when you feel like your protocol, informed consent document, etc., is “obvious” – it probably needs more work! You can never have too much quality control or quality assurance when it comes to documents.
Finally, if you had to describe yourself in just 3 words to someone, what words would you use and why?
SAMANTHA: Straight-forward, focused, and driven because I hold accountability as a core value to my life and like to get the job done.
