Celebrating #HealthForAll this World Health Day

Celebrating #HealthForAll this World Health Day

April 7th marks World Health Day, an annual event spearheaded by World Health Organization (WHO) that reinforces the importance of health and well-being.

The World Health Organization (WHO) official logoThis year’s theme is “#HealthForAll,”
where we look back at public health successes
and today’s opportunities.

According to WHO, to make health for all a reality, we need

“individuals and communities who have access to high quality health services so that they can take care of their own health and that of their families; skilled health workers providing quality, people-centred care; and policy-makers committed to investing in universal health coverage.”

We agree, and as a partner to the food and wellness industries, the more we can work together toward this common goal, the better our population will be.

At SNI, everything we do is about advancing health forward by making new, innovative products available in the marketplace.

We support this directly by:

  • Working directly with the food and natural health industries (and others) to ensure products are safe, effective, and compliant with health and safety regulations

  • Carrying out important clinical research on products before they hit the shelves

  • Investing in research infrastructure to support clinical trials in health areas such as metabolism, obesity, gut health, cardiovascular health, general wellness, and more

  • Advising food companies on how to properly communicate nutrition information on their labels without misleading shoppers
