Food Development Centre Workshop - Ingredient Solutions for Food Processing Businesses

This was a one-day workshop in collaboration with the Food Development Centre and ingredient suppliers from the US and Canada. The event focused on innovative ingredients that can transform food products in various sectors such as bakery, dairy, beverages, meat, and plant-based foods.
Participants had the opportunity to engage in hands-on demonstrations, network with industry experts, and discover the latest ingredient solutions. Leanne presented on new Canadian labelling regulations, Nutrition Facts table labelling and Front-of-Package nutrition symbols, addressing their impact on food products.
Export 101 Workshop - Preparing to Enter the United States Market

This was a two-day workshop hosted by Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada and World Trade Centre Winnipeg. Leanne played a key role in the Export 101 Workshop, where she provided an overview of US food labelling requirements during the Day 1 session. The workshop covered essential aspects of the export journey, including preparation and expectations, effective market research strategies, pricing considerations, food safety requirements, and business, legal, and tax considerations for exporters.
Geared towards those beginning their export journey or seeking to refine their strategies, the workshop aimed to guide participants in expanding their business horizons and enhancing their export capabilities.
