UNFI Fall Vendor Summit: Recap

UNFI Fall Vendor Summit: Recap

To help the community gain greater access to relevant resources and tools, United Natural Foods Inc. (UNFI) Canada hosted a vendor summit to bring all partners together to meet, touch base, and develop meaningful relationships. On November 17, 2021: Director of Business Development Stuart Greenfield and Creative Director Marcel Fisette were delighted to attend and present at this event at the Novotel Toronto Vaughan Centre in Vaughan, Ontario.

The presentation given by Marcel touched on the professional services that SNI provides, including our Canadian market entry support assistance, as well as a brief update and overview on the recent improvements to the labelling requirements on food products by the Canadian government.

Using real-world examples, the presentation broke-down and explained the wide-spectrum of differences between compliant nutrition labelling in the USA vs. Canada, as well as the endless ways to inform and promote natural foods in all forms of retail. We also outlined many of the other services we offer including SNI's new announcement of the expansion of our capabilities as a full-service contract research organization with an in-house clinical trials clinic in Winnipeg.

Behaving and Feeling Safe in Cautious Times

After a year plus on lockdown, SNI was very grateful to get creative and connect with a talented and inspirational group of people who are just as excited to talk about the natural health industry and community. In addition, UNFI extended clear and safe Covid protocol programs for all attendees that really helped Marcel and Stuart ease back into a larger group setting. A feature of this was an innovative and very helpful Social Distancing Wristband program.

A refreshing and rare combination of networking, social events and program content in a relaxed atmosphere was just what we needed! We have already seen results from benefits and connections. We wanted to extend a big THANK YOU to UNFI and Andrew Cote for this opportunity, and the audience for taking the time to participate.
