SNI is delighted to showcase some recent food photography work for our client, Longo’s, a grocery retail chain with locations across Southern Ontario.
Led by our creative services team, the project involved food styling and food photography for Longo’s line of breaded and battered fish products. SKUs included frozen haddock, sole, and cod fillets.
All our food photoshoots, including this one, take place at our purpose-built food photography studio, complete with a kitchen area for food preparation and cooking. (For clients that can’t make it onsite to the studio, our setup is ideal for virtual management and art direction for the shoot.)
After working with the Longo’s team to conceptualize and articulate the art direction for this shoot, our creative team selected props and dishware from our extensive prop styling library.
Once the food was prepared, the food styling could begin! For freshly cooked products designed to be served hot, we take great care to ensure they are photographed in a timely manner to preserve peak freshness and visual appearance.
Each food was photographed according to the style and composition outlined from the art direction process. Care was taken to utilize natural light for a bright, inviting look.
The final files were selected by the Longo’s team and edited to their final form using professional photo editing software.
The “star photo” for each product was integrated into the product packaging design.
